It is of great sadness and sorrow that on the morning of December 17, 2022, at 11:01 am, Missy Melinda Marie Petrie Moon passed away at St. Michael’s Hospital in Silverdale, Washington from complications of Anoxic Brain Injury and Hypoxemic Cardiac Arrest. She was a beautiful 63-year-old lovely lady.

Missy Melinda was born on May 30, 1959, in Modesto, Ca to Jean and John Boyce. Attending the local school K-12 before graduating and moving North to Washington State, Kitsap County.

In her first marriage to James Edward Petrie, they have four children together: Jason, Kristen, Danielle, and David.

James passed away on October 25, 1995, and Missy Melinda went on to raise these four children on her own with the help of a very dear friend Charlotte.

In 1994 Melinda started her adventure in the workforce, taking on a job at Sluys Poulsbo Bakery working her way up to the manager’s position during her 23-year employment.

Upon retirement Missy Melinda enjoyed traveling and most importantly working in her flower garden all around the property.

Missy Melinda Petrie Moon is survived by her four children, five grandchildren and one great grandchild on her blood side and through her second marriage she has inherited four daughters, ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She is also survived by her latest husband Ricky D. Moon of five years and thirteen years of friendship.

There will be an open casket memorial at The Stone Chapel in Poulsbo at 1:00 pm on January 14, 2023.
