Michael Joseph Flohr died Sept. 9 at the Hospice of Kitsap County Care Center.
He was born Jan. 3, 1942, in Glendive, Mont. to Joseph and Katharine Flohr. He moved to Centralia at the age of 12 and after graduation he joined the Air Force and served for four years. He retired from Boeing in 2000 after 34 years, where he worked most recently as a lead experimental flight test mechanic.
He married his wife, Artie, in 1986 and they celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary three days before he died. He enjoyed boating, crabbing, building hot rods, car shows, Puget Sound Anglers, the Donut Hole Gang and his workshop.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Chuck, grandson Ricky and granddaughter Allison.
Flohr is survived by his wife, Artie; and children: Jeannette, Mike, Donna (Steve), Vonda, Jim (Sharon) and Linda. He had 16 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at the Hansville Cemetary at noon Oct. 17 followed by a Memorial Luncheon at the Driftwood Key Community Center.
