Michael J. Harkins, 44

Poulsbo resident Michael J. Harkins died Nov. 15, 2005 in Poulsbo. He was 44.

He was born to William and Cynthia (Parker) Harkins in Bellevue on Aug. 26, 1961.

Harkins married Kelley Dempsey.

He attended school in Bellevue.

Harkins owned and operated Mike’s Carpet and Upholstery in North Kitsap since 1997.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, the ocean, camping, sailing and collecting swords and knives.

He is survived by his wife Kelley Harkins; daughters Alexandra, Katie, Kayla and Christine; sisters Laurel (Daniel) Mertens, Marilyn (Doran) Wellnitz and Jeannie (Mike) McGivern; two grandsons; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Nov. 19 at The Stone Chapel in Poulsbo.
