Michael K. Byrne, 49
Michael Kevin Byrne of Port Orchard died April 11, 2005 in Port Orchard. He was 49.
Byrne was born to Charles R. and Donna M. (Schnell) Byrne in Minneapolis, Minn. on June 18, 1955.
He married Paula J. Farnsworth on July 27, 1997 in Poulsbo.
Byrne graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Bloomington, Minn. in 1973 and from Normandale in Bloomington, Minn. and Dakota County Technical College. He earned a degree in accounting.
He served in the U.S. Army from Aug. 19, 1976 to Aug. 6, 1979. He achieved rank of SP4.
Byrne worked as an accountant for 12 years at the Metropolitan Airport Commission (MAC) and retired in in 1991.
He loved computers and his special cat “Cleopatra” and was an avid movie fan and sports stats enthusiast.
He is survived by his wife Paula J. Byrne of Port Orchard; mother Donna M. Byrne of Minneapolis; daughters Casey Marie Byrne and Erin Lynn Byrne, both of Minneapolis, Minn.; brothers Patrick M. Byrne of Port Angeles and Robert S. Byrne of Seattle; sisters Mary P. Byrne of Minneapolis, Minn. and Kathleen (Luis) Barrantes of Lemolo; and eight nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Charles R. Byrne, brother Thomas R. Byrne and uncles David Byrne, Mark Schnell and Don Schnell.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. April 18 at the Rill’s Life Tribute Center. An inurnment will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minn.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rill Chapel’s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard.
