Milton L. Shaffer, 81

Kingston resident Milton L. Shaffer died Nov. 21, 2005 in Kingston. He was 81.

Shaffer was born to Charles and Freda (Culling) Shaffer in Detroit, Mich. on Oct. 4, 1924.

He married Lucille V. Erickson.

Shaffer served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1943-1945 and received his bachelor’s degree from Wayne State University in Detroit in 1950. He was a partner in a commercial construction firm in Detroit.

He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Poulsbo.

Shaffer enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, reading and bowling. He was a member of the Kingston Improvement Committee.

He is survived by his son Paul Shaffer of Kingston; and daughter Susan Shaffer of Kingston. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert and sister Madeline Schmidt.

A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. Dec. 1 at First Lutheran Church in Poulsbo.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of The Stone Chapel at Cherry Grove.
