Nicholas Michael DeSanta of Southworth, Washington, and Sebring, Florida, and his wife Beverly were struck by a vehicle while walking in St. Petersburg, Florida. Both died from their injuries.

Nick was a veteran of the Vietnam War and was recently honored on a Rotary Freedom Flight to Washington, D.C.

He is survived by his son Frank and his sister, Mary DeSanta Peterson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Mary Lou DeSanta.
