Nora Flanagan Lewis, 84

Nora Flanagan Lewis of Hansville died Aug. 26, 2007 in Poulsbo. She was 84.

Lewis was born in Walstonberg, N.C. on April 17, 1923.

She married Charles H. Lewis on Oct. 10, 1946 in San Antonio, Texas.

Lewis worked as a homemaker and mother.

She enjoyed gardening, camping, raising flowers, fishing and traveling. She traveled with her husband while he was in the Air Force to England and Japan and to Russia, east Africa, Scandinavia, South America and eastern Europe on different vacations. She attended 14 Elderhostel sessions for adult studies, and she was a member of the Columbia University Women’s Club, where she chatted with Eleanor Roosevelt.

Lewis is survived by her husband Charles H. Lewis; sons William of Vernal, Utah, Alan and Charles Jr. of Hansville; three grandsons and one granddaughter.

At her request, there will be no services held. A gathering was held Sept. 1 at the Hansville Cemetery.
