Born Oct. 13, 1934, Petterson passed away Dec. 3 at the age of 75.

She is survived by Karlyn Yegge, Erik Petterson and her three grandchildren Nick, Melanie and Rochelle Forthun whom she cherished above all else. A generous, kind, honest woman, Rita was a joy to all who knew her. Dearly loved by her many, many friends and nearby family, Rita was passionate about caring for other’s needs. A wealth of knowledge, Rita’s interests included history, politics, current events, nature and selling antiques.
