Robert ‘Tanner’ McCarron, 68

Robert “Tanner” McCarron of Poulsbo died Jan. 3, 2007 in Bremerton after a battle with lung cancer. He was 68.

McCarron was born June 13, 1938 in Los Angeles, Calif. to John and Rhoda McCarron.

He graduated from University High School in 1956 and then from the University of California at Irvine in 1978 with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and fine arts.

His many talents and interests included being an artist, sculptor, musician, writing science fiction, woodworking, along with studying Zen Buddhism and meditation.

He is survived by his daughters Sienna of Pacific Grove, Calif., Tempera of Willits, Calif., Andrea of Poulsbo; and son Sean Hodge of Filer, Idaho.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Jan 28 at the Kiana Lodge in Poulsbo.
