Robert W. Roskelley, 84
Robert W. Roskelley of Poulsbo died Sept. 2, 2005 in Poulsbo. He was 84.
Roskelley was born to Dr. Richard and Alice (Phalen) Roskelley in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 21, 1921.
He married Marjorie Kay Lafton.
He graduated from high school in Challis, Idaho in 1940.
Roskelley was a pilot in the Air Force, serving in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War, before retiring with the rank of major.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, carpentry and gardening.
He was also a Lutheran and member of the Elks Lodge No. 1604.
Roskelley is survived by Marjorie Roskelley of Poulsbo; sons Robert (Wilma) Roskelley of Anchorage, Alaska; David (Myra) Roskelley of Pasco; and John (Mary) Roskelley of Lake Stevens; daughter Laura (Karl) Erickson of Poulsbo; brothers Fenton Roskelley of Spokane and Byron Roskelley of Arco, Idaho; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by brother Richard Roskelley and sister Shirley Maraffio.
Services were held on Sept. 8 at Hawthorne Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Vernon.
