Ron K. Alness, 53

Former Poulsbo resident Ronald Kingsley Arness died June 14, 2007. He was 53.

Alness was born on Nov. 7, 1953 in Poulsbo.

He attended North Kitsap High School.

He served in the U.S. Air Force and worked at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.

He enjoyed fishing, hiking and camping. He also loved kids and enjoyed being an uncle.

Rhyan Louis Standard, 22

North Kitsap resident Rhyan Louis Standard died June 16, 2007 in Moses Lake. He was 22.

Standard was born to Mindy Standard on Nov. 14, 1984.

He graduated from The Family Academy Northwest in 2003.

Standard worked in construction for Lofall Well Drilling, at the Hanson Ranch in Montana and Columbia Basin Job Corps in Moses Lake. He enjoyed good music, camping with his mom and friends, fishing with his grandpa, reading with his grandma and his Toyota truck.

Standard is survived by his mother Mindy Standard of Poulsbo; grandmother Janet Standard of Poulsbo; and uncles Scot Standard of Anchorage, Alaska and Craig Standard of Kingston.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Louis F. Standard and great-grandmother Jennie Olsen.

Services will be held on June 22, 2007 at Stone Chapel in Poulsbo.
