Rosemarie Stockwell, 76
Rosemarie Stockwell died April 24, 2005 in Poulsbo. She was 76.
Stockwell was born Jan. 29, 1929 in Fall River, Mass. and grew up in Worcester, Mass. until the age of 14. The family moved to Long Beach, Calif. in 1943. She graduated from Jordan High School in Long Beach, Calif. in 1945. Stockwell moved to Washington in August 1992 with her children, who also relocated in the same year.
She had resided at the Hostmark Apartments in Poulsbo for the past nine and a half years and loved Poulsbo (Tree City USA). She especially loved “old town” and called it her “little town” because of its quaint ambience and surrounding beauty. It reminded her of where she grew up back home in Massachusetts.
Stockwell is survived by son, Ivan Haynes of Silverdale; daughters Valerie (Michael) Vitacolonna of Silverdale, Cynthia (Tex) Ritter of Milton and Sumner, and Patricia “Trish” (Paul Davis) Conway of Tigard, Ore.; brothers John A. Stockwell and Robert Allen Adams of California, sister Phoebe of California; four grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.
There will be a private memorial held by family members only. Memorials in her name can be made to Hospice of Kitsap County, 3100 Bucklin Hill Road, Suite #201, Silverdale, WA 98383.
