Rowena Gay Duncan died Sept. 8. She was 62.
Born July 4, 1931, in Stilwell, Okla., she moved to Seattle in 1948 after graduation from high school in Huntsville, Ark. After 20 years as a Safeway retail clerk, she retired in 1993 and lived her dream of a carefree snowbird, dividing her time between the family home in Poulsbo and Mesa, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by husband Richard T. Duncan in 2003, and her son John Duncan in 1987.
She is survived by her children Kathy Hughes (Bill), Poulsbo; Teresa McDonald (Kevin), Seattle; Tom Duncan, Fairbanks; Ed Duncan (Sharman), Shoreline; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
