Roy N. Leidner, 82

Roy N. Leidner of Poulsbo died Aug. 22, 2007. He was 82.

He was born to Margaret and Walter Leidner on July 3, 1924 in Newton, Mass.

Leidner married Barbara Kingsbury on Sept. 23, 1950 in Weston, Mass.

He graduated from Newton High School in Newton, Mass. and Rensstaer Polytechnical Institute with a degree in engineering.

Leidner worked as an engineer for Bethlehem Steel for 40 years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Europe.

Leidner enjoyed playing bridge, swimming, walking and baking bread.

He is survived by his wife Barbara of Poulsbo; sons Stuart (Nina) Leidner of Poulsbo and Mark (Jean) Leidner of Norman, Okla.; daughter Sandra Barber of Shelby, Mich.; sister Irene (Bill Davy) Leidner of Guadala, Calif.; and grandchildren Colleen, Cara, Mason and Aubrey.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Aug. 25 at Rolling Bay Presbyterian Church, 11042 Sunrise Drive, Bainbridge Island.
