Russell Edward Hladik of Poulsbo died on Aug. 11 at Martha & Mary Nursing Home. He was 95.

He was born to Edward John & Alice (Hecht) in Wausa, Neb., on Feb. 13, 1915. He graduated from Plainview High School in Plainview, Neb. in 1931.

He married Edith Ruth (Marmon) on Dec. 30, 1939.

He is survived by his sons, Richard (Naomi) Kraiger and Edward R. “Bud” Hladik; daughters: Joy (Terry) Shipley and Jean (Ernie) Hinck; nine granddaughters; four grandsons; and 16 great-grandchildren; sisters Elizabeth Adams, Harriet (Meyer) Gensler and Ruth (John) Tucker. Funeral services were on Aug. 17. Donations may be made in his name to The Warren G. Harding Lodge Building Fund, The Cancer Fund and/or Martha & Mary Nursing Home.
