Ruth Ione (Kenley) Spencer of Hansville died on June 13, 2003. She was 84.

Spencer was born in Burlington on Sept. 2, 1919.

Spencer was married to Newell R. Bailey and was later remarried to James P. Spencer.

She is survived by her son Fredric Denis Bailey of Bellingham; daughter Janis Kay Price of Yuma, Ariz.; sister Betty Shatzka of Everett; and four grandchildren.

Spencer was preceded in death by both of her husbands Newell Bailey and James Spencer.

Services and other arrangements are being handled by Jerns Funeral Chapel and on-site Crematorium of Bellingham.
