Stanley E. Stageberg died on Jan. 29. He was 88.
Stageberg was born on June 19, 1921, in Thief River Falls, Minn., to Martin and Anna (Clausen) Stageberg. The family moved to Washington in 1923. He graduated Ballard High School In 1940.
He working for the Boeing Co. and joined the Army in 1943. He served in the 10th Mountain Division in the 110th Signal Corps in Italy until 1946, whem he began working at Pacific Northwest Bell.
Stageberg married Nancy Hiller in 1953. He retired after 36 years. He is survived by his wife Nancy; daughter Eileen Laskowski (Phil); two sons: David Stageberg (Tammi), and John Stageberg (Grete); 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law: Edna Stageberg.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Feb. 6 at Crista Shores in Silverdale.
