Sverre Johan Wiklund, 38

Sverre Johan Wiklund of Poulsbo died Feb. 2, 2004. He was 38.

Wiklund was born to Roald Ole Wiklund and Unni Jakobsen Wiklund in Tromso, Norway on May 18, 1965.

Wiklund graduated from high school in Bardufoss, Norway and then went on to heavy mechanics school at Tromso, graduating in 1984. He then worked in the fishing industry until 1988.

In 1988, he came to Poulsbo to visit relatives. He enjoyed America and moved here in 1989.

Wiklund is survived by his two children; sisters Anna Krestene (Stig Morton Hannsen) Wiklund and Engveld (Tor-orjan Bjornstad) Wiklund; mother Unni Jakobsen Wiklund of Norway; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews in Norway.

Other relatives in the Poulsbo area include his aunt Vickie H. Arness, uncle Tom Ekelman and cousins Mike, John and Robert Ekelman.

Wiklund was preceded in death by his father Roald Ole Wiklund.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Feb. 9 at First Lutheran, followed by a reception at the Poulsbo Sons of Norway Viking Room.
