Ted R. Westberg, 72
A memorial service for Ted R. Westberg will be held at 2 p.m. July 10 at Redeemer United Methodist Church in Kingston. A reception will follow at Driftwood Keys Clubhouse.
Westberg died June 16 in Bremerton. He was 72.
He was born July 31, 1935 in Frankfort, Kansas to Raymond K. and Nellie (Loughary) Westberg.
He graduated from Frankfort High School in 1954 and joined the Navy after graduation. He retired in 1975. In addition to his military career, he also retired from IBM in 1992.
Westberg married Betty Deaton in 1975 in Pensacola, Fla. She preceded him in death in 1998.
In 2001, Westberg married his childhood friend, Sandra “Sandee” (Smith) Mason. He is survived by his wife Sandee of Hansville; sons Ken (Julie) of Kuna, Idaho and Mike (Shirley) of Omaha, Neb. and daughter Dawn Marin of Newark, Calif; grandchildren Jennifer, Mathew, Aleah, Brittany, Michael II, Stefanie and Jessica; stepchildren Chris (Patti) Mason, Greg Mason, Phil (Jocelyn) Keefe, Kati Mason, Lisa Keefe and eight step-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be given to Redeemer United Methodist Church, 9900 NE Shorty Campbell Road, Kingston, or Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation in care of Bobbi Moody.
