Virginia MacAulay

Virginia Marie MacAulay, of Whitefish, Mont., died in Bremerton on May 22, 2008.

She was 60.

She was born to John and Irene (Moore) Jetty on April 26, 1948, in Fort Totten, N.D.

She attended Butte (Mont.) High School and the University of the Frazier College in Chilliwack, B.C.

She married Danny MacAulay on Oct. 24, 1966, in Butte, Mont.

She was the manager at the Woolworth store in Port Hardy, B.C., for eight years and a data entry clerk at BHP International in Port Hardy for 10 years.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and enjoyed skiing, artifacts, quilting, oil painting and riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle.

She is survived by husband Danny MacAulay of Chilliwack, B.C.; mother Irene Gonder of Port Orchard; son Christopher MacAulay of Chilliwack, B.C.; daughters Kimberly MacAulay of Chilliwack, B.C., Jennifer MacAulay of Abbotsford, B.C., and Danielle MacAulay Berthelet of Chilliwack, B.C.; brothers John Scott Jetty of Bozeman, Mont., and James Dean Jetty of Fort Totten, N.D.; sisters Linda Lodge of Port Orchard, Maggie Siers of Whitefish, Mont., Elaine Matlow of Livingston, Mont., Myra Kingbird of Port Orchard and Melanie Woods of Bozeman, Mont.; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by sisters Dana Ford and Debra Jetty.

A family farewell was held at Rill Tribute Center in Port Orchard on May 27 at 1 p.m.
