William D. Mabe, 75

Suquamish Elder William D. Mabe of Bremerton died in Bremerton Jan. 24, 2005. He was 75.

Mabe was born in Hadlock on May 20, 1929.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1946-1952 and was awarded the Korean Victory Medal and five Bronze Stars.

He was an Elder in the Suquamish Tribe and a Seattle Seahawks fan.

Mabe is survived by family and friends and the Suquamish Tribe.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Jan. 30 at the Suquamish Tribal Center on Sandy Hook Road.

Inurnment arrangements are under the direction of The Stone Chapel at Cherry Grove.
