William Heubach, 69
William “Bill” Heubach of Poulsbo died Dec. 24, 2003 in Poulsbo. He was 69.
Heubach was born to Phillip and Edith (Ellis) Heubach in Torrence, Calif. on Nov. 20, 1934.
He married Roslyn “Roz” C. (Owens) Knight-Heubach on Oct. 8, 1988 in Santa Cruz, Calif.
Heubach graduated from Hoover High School in San Diego, Calif. in 1954 and then from San Diego State in 1960.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1954-1962, earning the National Defense Service Medal. He later worked as a fishery biologist for the State of California for 30 years until his retirement in 1993.
Heubach was an avid fisherman, bird watcher and hiker. He enjoyed all things having to do with nature.
Heubach is survived by his wife Roslyn “Roz” C. (Owens) Knight-Heubach of Poulsbo; son William F. Heubach of Seattle; step-son Grant B. Knight of San Francisco, Calif.; daughter Bonnie M. Scott-Osumi of Hereford, Ariz.; step-daughter Jennifer L. Knight of San Francisco, Calif.; brother Phillip Heubach of San Diego, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his step-father Edward Alme.
There will be no services. Cremation will be under the direction of The Stone Chapel at Cherry Grove Memorial Park in Poulsbo.
