William Joseph McCoy of Kingston died June 29, 2007 in Seattle. He was 76.

McCoy was born in Danville, Ill. on June 3, 1931.

He married Paula McCoy.

McCoy graduated from Roosevelt High School and University of Washington in 1953 with a bachelors degree in finance.

He worked in the insurance industry at Safeco Insurance, Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company and Brown and Brown Insurance.

He served in the Air Force as a finance officer and was stationed in Germany.

McCoy enjoyed restoring, showing and collecting British sports cars. He won numerous awards at different western Washington car shows.

McCoy is survived by his wife Paula; son Todd; daughter Tanis (John) Winfield; brother Robert; and one grandchild.
