William Perry Brown, 85
William Perry Brown, formerly of Poulsbo, died Jan. 14 at Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa, Calif.
He was born Oct. 26, 1924, in Seattle to Walter and Elvira Brown. He graduated in 1944 from Union High School No. 4 in Poulsbo. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1944 and retired in 1964. He married Lois White on Sept. 2, 1955, in Puerto Rico where they were stationed with the U.S. Air Force.
In 1964, Bill and Lois moved to Pleasant Hill, Calif., where they permanently resided.
He was employed in the aerospace industry for a time and then joined Bechtel Corp. in San Francisco as an electrical engineer. He retired from Bechtel in 1989. He moved to Villa Del Rey in Napa in July 2009.
His wife preceded him in death. He is survived by a sister, Betty Rogstad of Poulsbo; 10 nieces and nephews; and a cousin, M. Lynn Cathcart of Kirkland.
No memorial service is planned. He will be interred next to his wife, Lois, at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Gustine, Calif.
