A public thank you from Port Orchard

Dorothy Fletcher reaches out to the woman who came to her rescue.

I wish to publicly thank a neighbor walking her dog on Carr Avenue this morning.

I stopped over to pick up a lid that had been dropped in my yard. I lost my balance and took a bad fall. I had removed my help alert button just an hour before my accident.

There were no cars or any traffic and I felt pretty helpless for about half an hour.

I saw a girl with her dog, walking a block away and hollered, “Please come and help me.”

She rushed to me immediately, helped me up, brushed me off and helped me inside my house.

I publicly want to thank her in her kindness to me. There are angels out there, folks. Mine’s name was Andria.

Thank you for your kindnesses to me, Andria.
