Keep Linda.
It’s a simple message. Why change when you’ve already got the best?
Linda Streissguth is an excellent county commissioner who works collaboratively and effectively for change. Most importantly, she has everyday commitment and staying power to see things through. Her opponent doesn’t. For Linda, it’s not just another step up the ladder of personal ambition. In the last county election her opponent ran for judge…now he’s running for commissioner. That’s not change, that’s confusion. What do we want more of? Uncertainty or commitment?
A former Bainbridge City Council member, planning commissioner and member of the Kitsap Regional Coordinating Council, I had the pleasure of working closely with Linda for over eight years, developing cost-saving, efficient energy programs and environmental protections for clean economic development in our communities. Over the next four years, our county commission needs Linda’s planning commission expertise to help update our county’s comprehensive plan. Commitment and consistency result in balanced decision making.
Elections are a form of job application; voters’ role is to pick the candidate who best fits the position. Both candidates may have impressive community experience and professional qualifications, but Linda’s are directly related to the job. She’s been consistently working in the same direction. She’s shown she has what it takes to be a great commissioner, and she doesn’t want to be something else.
Choose substance and commitment. Don’t trade them for charm and uncertain promises. Vote for Linda Streissguth for county commissioner.
