I am recommending that the Bremerton School District Board of Directors use their authority as elected officials and school board directors to approve and vote in Aaron Leavell as the new superintendent of the Bremerton School District.
As a concerned citizen of Bremerton, I am requesting that the current board forgo the superintendent search process. Since he is the best qualified candidate for the job and he has extensive experience as an administrator, principal, and educator. He is committed to Bremerton School District and the citizens.
The immediate response on behalf of the board will ensure and maintain current momentum and provide a seamless transition. Most importantly this process allows the district to maintain current funds in the budget for other needed programs.
I have known Aaron Leavell for at least 10 years and counting. His ability to represent the school district, children, families, and the citizens of Bremerton remain outstanding. He possesses these qualities: extensive experiences in public education, both in classroom and as an administrator; service as assistant superintendent of BSD; and he is a model citizen.
Next, he possesses impeccable personal qualities such as: his strong belief in students’ ability to learn, his respect for the staff and families.
By voting Mr. Leavell as the next superintendent of BSD this will be a seamless process for the district and the community.
Lastly, I would like to thank the school board and current superintendent for carefully considering my recommendation to vote Aaron Leavell into position as soon as possible.
