Bremerton Farmers Market

Check us out this season

As spring unfurls before us and farmers markets open for the season, the Bremerton Farmers Market would like to thank the community for its support in helping the market grow the past five years. We started as a little market in the old Café Destino’s courtyard with just a few vendors — last year, more than 20 vendors filled the parking lot of Seaside Community Church on a weekly basis!

Because of the tremendous support and growth, the market is expanding and moving to the southern parking lot at Evergreen Park, at the intersection of Pacific Avenue and Sheldon Boulevard, next to the old Plumbers Union building location. Market will open for the season Thursday, May 14, from 4 to 7 p.m. and will run every Thursday through Oct. 15. Information about the market can be found at www.bremertonmarket.wordpress.com.

Finally, a note to those who have supported the market in ways that have hugely contributed to the market’s success: The city of Bremerton, Washington State Farmers Market Association, Poulsbo Farmers Market, Kitsap Sun, Sound Publishing, Patty Graf-Hoke, Red Step Tile, Kim’s Gardens and PakMail. A special note goes to our biggest supporter, Seaside Community Church, which did so much in letting us use their parking lot, storage facilities and meeting spaces and provided moral support to help the market grow to today’s success.

We look forward to seeing our old friends as well as new faces this year. See you at market and thanks again.

JOHN BRIDGER

President, Bremerton Farmers Market
