Thanksgiving. My favorite day of the year by far. Twenty-four hours set aside to reflect on the positive aspects of our lives and give thanks.
Thanksgiving is this coming Thursday. It is one of my most enjoyable holidays. I love the gathering of my substitute family – my friends – and having a great time eating, talking, playing games, relaxing. I try to think of all the things I’ve been thankful for over the past year. It gives me pause to reflect on how life has been.
I was saddened to read recently in your paper that Kitsap Transit will eliminate 11 driver positions and get rid of Sunday service.
Like all families in Kitsap County, local government is not immune to the global financial crisis and is faced with the challenge of balancing our pocketbooks by keeping rising costs in line with incomes.
This was a very tough election for me.
John McCain only became my candidate when he won the Republican nomination. I was not for him before Rush was not for him. I did not support him when he ran against George W. Bush four years ago and he was not my candidate during the runoff for this year’s primary.
