The Vikings came ashore once again and took over downtown Poulsbo for the Viking City’s annual Julefest Celebration.

On Saturday the St. Lucia Bride was escorted by torch-wielding Northmen clad in furs and horned helmets as they proceeded to Poulsbo’s Waterfront Park to light the large pyre, already prepared.

The festivities heralded the arrival of the holiday season and paid homage to Poulsbo’s Scandinavian settlers.
