This fall the NK volleyball team not only ended the regular season with an undefeated Olympic League record, but went to state for the first time in the program’s history.
The NK team, while small, is “scrappy,” said junior Sarah Baugh.
Though the team was eliminated from the tournament in the first two games, it was up against two seasoned opponents and the team’s strength will transfer to next year with a group of senior players.
The 2010 All-Kitsap County Volleyball Team was compiled by the sports writers for the Bainbridge Island Review, Bremerton Patriot, the Central Kitsap Reporter, the North Kitsap Herald and the Port Orchard Independent. Candidates for the team are nominated by the writers for their respective areas. The nominees are then voted on by the writers; the top players make the teams.
