North Kitsap and Bainbridge Island’s boys basketball team face off in an early season battle Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. in BI.
BHS then plays at Kingston Tuesday at 7:30, while NK hosts Sequim at 7 p.m.
In girls action, Bainbridge plays at NK tonight at 7:30. Kingston plays at BI Tuesday at 7.
North Kitsap’s top-ranked 2A boys basketball team is off and running so far this year.
The Vikings won their opening game in a romp, whipping Crosspoint of Bremerton last week 93-57.
They then trounced Sumner over the weekend 72-57.
The girls team has been just as dominating, if not more so.
They beat up on Washington 78-27 in their season opener.
Then they humiliated Foss 66-8.
Meanwhile, the Bainbridge girls clobbered Mount Tahoma 49-29, but lost to Central Kitsap 48-39.
The BHS boys just got by Newport of Bellevue 57-54, but then easily defeated CK 59-35.
The Kingston boys had an even closer matchup, barely getting by Crosspoint 55-54. Later in the week they played the same team, but the result was about the same, winning55-51.
But the Buccaneer girls had no problem against East Jefferson, winning 78-27.

Also, four locals made the All-State Volleyball team and competed last Sunday at Burlington-Edison.
Elle Fultz of North Kitsap played in the 2A game, while in the 3A game, three players from Bainbridge competed: Florencia Olivera, Allie Wildsmith and Isabelle Prentice.
