The North Kitsap girls soccer team is hoping to make a long playoff run this season and got it started on the right foot this past weekend with a 6-0 victory over Franklin Pierce.
The star of the show was Charlotte Bond, the Vikings’ senior forward. Bond scored four goals and added one assist in the victory that sent her team to the district semifinals.
Bond opened the scoring in the 15th minute, tucking away a shot after taking a pass from teammate Audrey Zinn. She scored her second goal of the game after crashing the net and picking up a feed from Sarah Hamilton and completed the hat trick on a pass from Kamora McMillian. Her fourth goal of the match came on a penalty kick.
Bond has been wreaking havoc on opposing defenses for North Kitsap for years and led the team in scoring last season with 11 goals and six assists.
