Four years of hard work finally paid off for senior Dani Bodlorick at the last meet of her high school career.
After qualifying for the 2A state meet late in the season, she received a boost of confidence after swimming a 1:13.03 in the 100-yard breaststroke at the 2A District 3 meet.
At the state prelims, her time jumped up to 1:09.88, which was the fourth fastest among all competitors. She looked poised to get to a podium for the first time in her career, and she pulled it off at the state finals the next day when she swam a 1:10.51 to earn a fifth place finish and her first medal.
