The South Kitsap volleyball team is bringing along several young, promising players this season, and guiding them as the on-court veteran has been Faith Smith.
A senior middle blocker, Smith leads South Kitsap in kills (43) and blocks (15) and has a .200 hitting percentage through seven matches, and will continue to be counted upon for both her scoring and leadership abilities as the team enters their South Puget Sound League schedule.
The Wolves took a three-match winning streak into league play after beating Auburn, Olympic and Decatur. Against Olympic, Smith led the Wolves with eight kills as they swept the Trojans in three sets.
