As the Kingston Buccaneers have ushered in the next wave of volleyball talent this season, the one constant has been their junior middle blocker Morgan Halady, one of the best all-around players in the West Sound.
Halady is the lone returning starter from last season’s 2A state playoff team, for which she scored 265 kills and racked up a 30.9 hitting percentage while adding 60 blocks. Her exploits made her a first-team All-Olympic League selection.
Halady’s excellence has continued this season, leading a team featuring plenty of underclassmen to a 7-5 record. The Bucs are hoping to secure a fifth consecutive playoff berth over their final two games against Olympic and Sequim.
