BREMERTON — The Kitsap Pumas will take on Seattle Sounders 2 in a preseason friendly on April 23 at Gordon Field, 1200 Fairgrounds Road NW, Bremerton.
The game begins at 7 p.m.
The club will also host a match between Joint Base Lewis McChord and Naval Base Kitsap the same evening.
Tickets are $10 adults, $2 youth.
The Pumas are billing the event as a preseason party. The team is increasing its engagement with the public; players conducted a clinic at Strawberry Field in Poulsbo on April 13. And the team postponed their scheduled preseason friendly against the Vancouver Victory on April 16 to make room for an open training session.
“We’re always looking for ways to connect with the Kitsap community, and this is one of the most direct methods possible,” head coach Cameron MacDonald said in an announcement of the open training session.
“We’re excited to welcome our fans to have a look at what we do on a daily basis.”
Season and single-game tickets are available on the club website: www.kitsap soccerclub.com.
The Pumas are a professional soccer team, competing in the USL Premier Development League.
Since their inception in 2009, the Pumas have won the PDL Northwest Division championship four times and in 2015 made it to the second round of the U.S. Open Cup conference semifinals.
