KINGSTON — Kingston’s Beth Brewster was publicly recognized Dec. 14 for being one of 30 people to finish the Ultraman World Championships on the big island of Hawaii.

A “ticker-tape parade” was held on the road that goes through Village Green Community Park to recognize Brewster’s accomplishment.

Brewster placed 23rd in the Ultraman, Nov. 30. She was one of nine females to compete, and one of seven to finish, according to results from Ultramanlive.com.

Participants covered a total of 320 miles in three days, which included swimming 6.2 miles, cycling 261.4 miles, and running 52.4 miles.

Brewster, 43, finished the first day in 11 hours 23 minutes 55 seconds. The first day included 6.2 miles of swimming and 90 miles of cycling. She finished the second day of cycling in 10:02:22. She cross the finish line in the third day after running for 10:51.18.

Brewster is the owner of Kingston Adventures. Brewster is the first woman from the Northwest to compete in the Ultraman championships in Hawaii.
