South Kitsap finishes second at Pacific Coast Championships

Sebastian Robles wins title at 152 pounds.

VANCOUVER — South Kitsap prep wrestlers earned 223 points Dec. 29-30 at the Pacific Coast Championships at Mountain View High School, finishing behind only West Linn High School of Oregon, which racked up 250 points.

Wolves senior Sebastian Robles took home the 152-pound title, defeating Danny Sneidker of Union in a 5-2 decision. Two more South Kitsap wrestlers reached the finals of their respective weight classes but lost — Mason Eaglin lost a 12-9 decision to Sean Harman of West Linn at 170 pounds, and Davonn Keyes fell to Taran Floyd of West Linn in a 5-1 decision at 160 pounds.

Olympic’s top finisher was Alec Acfalle, who finished in fourth place after losing a 2-1 decision to Devyn Sweem of Bethel in the 138-pound division. Olympic finished in 11th place with 97 points.

Central Kitsap also had a wrestler in the top eight at 145 pounds as Zach Wheeler defeated Isaac Salon of Union by fall in 1:52 to finish in fifth.

The rest of the local placers are as follows:

Third — Xavier Eaglin, South Kitsap, 106 pounds; Devin Gentz, South Kitsap, 120 pounds.

Fourth — Nathan Marin, South Kitsap, 170 pounds; Ethan Fragoso, South Kitsap, 220 pounds.

Fifth — Anjelo Pangelinan, Olympic, 106 pounds.

Sixth — Izaiah Davis, South Kitsap, 195 pounds.

Eighth — Logan McKinney, South Kitsap, 182 pounds; Logan Gleason, South Kitsap, 285 pounds.
