POULSBO — The first conference game for the Kingston Buccaneers and North Kitsap Vikings will also be a rivalry game.
The boys and girls basketball teams from both schools are scheduled to play one another Dec. 12.
The Vikings boys’ team host the Bucs. JV games start at 5:15 p.m., Varsity at 7 p.m.
The Kingston girls’ team hosts the Vikings.
The Vikings boys’ team (3-1) is on a three-game win streak. They most recently defeated the Klahowya Eagles 75-52 on the road.
The Bucs (2-1) most recently defeated Port Townsend 56-48 on the road.
The boys teams are looking for their first conference win and to catch up with the Sequim Wolves (1-0, 2-1). The Wolves played their first conference game against the Bremerton Knights (0-1, 0-4) Dec. 9. The Wolves do not play another conference game until the Dec. 17 game against the Bucs.
The girls teams are looking to do the same. The Wolves’ girls team (1-0, 3-1) is the only team in the Olympic League with a conference win.
The Vikings (2-0) defeated Rogers 57-53 on Dec. 6. They followed up with a 63-35 win over Klahowya on Dec. 9.
The Bucs (2-1) most recently crushed Port Townsend 60-11 on Dec. 9.
