SEQUIM — The Kingston Buccaneers varsity team improved its season record with a single goal against the Sequim Wolves Sept. 14.
Kingston’s Kelly Nash scored in the 54th minute off an assist by Hailey Stokes.
The Bucs’ record improves to 3-0.
The Bucs are “truly showing character; our players gave their all to hold Sequim and secure the win,” Kingston head coach Craig Smith wrote to the Herald.
The Bucs previously won 2-1 over the Bremerton Knights and 3-1 over Port Angeles.
The Kingston team has a bye Tuesday, Sept. 17, and resumes league play Sept. 19 when they host the Klahowya Eagles at 6:45 p.m.
