OUTLOOK: Central Kitsap High School baseball looks to improve from last year’s finish just above the middle of the conference pack. To do so, head coach Bill Baxter said his team needs to capitalize at the plate. Pitching, which wasn’t an issue last year, is believed to again be a strength — especially defensive pitching, he said. If the Cougars can score runs more frequently than last season, then the team should trend upward in the league standings.
