Outlook: The Cougars have the best defense in the West Sound and they have a number of high-caliber standouts on that side of the ball. Central Kitsap will lean more heavily on the defense this year after graduating their starting quarterback and number one running back. The Cougars do have several capable receivers and backs with limited varsity experience. If it all comes together, there’s no reason Central Kitsap can’t get back to the playoffs this season.
