Local boys and girls basketball teams continue trek to state tournament.

Boys

Evergreen Lutheran 66, Crosspoint 57

The Eagles outscored the Warriors, 23-7, for fifth- and sixth-place seeding in Saturday’s Class 1B Tri-District tournament in Tacoma Feb. 12.

Michael Shea led the Warriors (7-14) with 18 points, hill Taylor Baxter hit 10.

Bremerton 61, Washington 55

The Knights lost their opener in the Class 2A West Central District tournament on Feb. 12.

Casey Winderl hit 13 and Tavontay Carter added 12 for the losers.

Bremerton (8-10) will face Liberty (10-9) on Feb. 14 in loser-out game at Curtis High School Game time is set for 1 p.m.

White River 42, Olympic 41

In a thriller at home, the Trojans found themselves on the short end with a loss against the Hornets in Class 2A West Central District tournament action on Feb. 12.

Olympic (14-7) was led by Makaleb McInnis who scored a game-high 17 points.

Erik Turnquist added 13 for the Trojans, who will face Foster in a loser-out game at 4:30 p.m. at Curtis High School.

Class 1A

Klahowya will host Charles Wright at 8 p.m. Feb. 14 in  loser-out game in Class 1A West Central District tournament action.

The winner will play at Feb. 17 at 7:45 p.m. against Vashon Island in Vashon.

Girls

Crosspoint 51, Evergreen Lutheran 47

The Warriors (19-3) held on for a win and clinched the Class 1B Sea-Tac League tournament title in Tacoma on Feb. 12.

With the win, Crosspoint claims the No. 1 seed at next week’s Tri-District tournament.

Caitlyn Cattell tossed in a game-high 21 points, while Desere’e Doty added 18 markers for Crosspoint, who won their 15th game in a row.

Class 1A playoff action

Klahowya will host Seattle Christian at 6 p.m. Feb. 13 at home in loser-out game in Class 1A West Central District tournament action.

The winner plays again Feb. 16 against host Cascade Christian at 7:45 p.m.
