Girls Soccer
2021 record: 6-4
Head coach: Katie Drovdahl
Key players: Savannah Mabee, defender/midfielder, jr.; Kendall Low, midfielder, jr.; Ellie Murray, forward, jr.; Erin Weiss, defender/midfielder, sr.; Hailey Fink, defender/midfielder, jr.; Maddie Brown, defender/midfielder, sr.; Maggie Faye, defender/midfielder, sr.; Abby Peterson, defender/midfielder, so.; Ellen Owen, goalkeeper, sr.
Outlook: Bainbridge’s four losses last season all came against teams they won’t face in league play this year — Central Kitsap and South Kitsap. They swept the remainder of the matches against their Olympic League foes and that bodes well for the fall of 2021. The Spartans graduated just three seniors and bring back a number of varsity players who got some valuable experience in the spring. That should help Bainbridge stay near the top of the league.

Volleyball
2021 record: 7-5
Head coach: Jen Roman
Key players: Allie Wildsmith, middle blocker, sr.; Isabelle Prentice, outside, sr.; Rebecca Roman, setter/right side, jr.; Florencia Olivera, libero, sr.
Outlook: The Spartans should be quite competitive this year in the Olympic League. Wildsmith, Prentice, Roman and Olivera are all experienced and talented, and should form a great core for the team as each excels in the various phases of the game. North Kitsap is still the class of the league, but Bainbridge should be right there fighting it out at the top.
Schedule: Sept. 9, 6 p.m., at North Mason; Sept. 14, 6 p.m., at Bremerton; Sept. 16, 6 p.m., Kingston; Sept. 21, 6:15 p.m., at Sequim; Sept. 23, 6 p.m., at Port Angeles; Sept. 28, 6:15 p.m., Olympic; Sept. 30, 6 p.m., at North Kitsap; Oct. 5, 6 p.m., North Mason; Oct. 7, 6 p.m., Bremerton; Oct. 12, 6 p.m., at Kingston; Oct. 14, 6 p.m., Sequim; Oct. 19, 6 p.m., Port Angeles; Oct. 22, 6:15 p.m., at Olympic; Oct. 26, 6 p.m., North Kitsap.
Girls Swimming
Head coach: Kristine Cox, Krista Pal
Key swimmers: Margaret Hayes, sr.; Bryn Tiernan, jr.; Siena Levan, jr.; Emma Solseng, jr.; Kathryn Houseman, so.; Uma Pal, so.; Elyse Lipton, so.; Alexa McDevitt, fr.; Sammy Segerson, fr.; Sophie Segerson, sr.; Tierney Lenahan, fr.; Piper Majors, fr.
Outlook: Hayes and Solseng are returning All-Americans and comprised half of Bainbridge’s 2019 3A state championship 200-yard freestyle relay team. Hayes is also the reigning 3A champion in the 200 IM and finished second in the 100 butterfly, while Solseng finished third in the 50-yard sprint and second in the 100 breaststroke. But the team has reloaded with Levan and Tiernan, who also scored in the 2019 state meet, and a large number of sophomores and freshmen who have already competed at high levels. It should be another exciting year in the pool for the Spartans.
Schedule: Sept. 9, 3 p.m., at Sequim; Sept. 16, 3:30 p.m., Klahowya; Sept. 23, 4 p.m., at Kingston; Sept. 30, 3 p.m., at Bremerton; Oct. 5, 3:30 p.m., North Kitsap; Oct. 8, 3:30 p.m., Olympic; Oct. 14, 3:30 p.m., East Jefferson; Oct. 21, 3:30 p.m., Port Angeles; Oct. 26, 3 p.m., Last Chance Qualifier Meet at Port Angeles.
Boys Water Polo
2021 record: 11-0
Head coach: Kristin Gellert
Key players: Oskar Bannister, sr.; Harrison Villella, sr.; Jacques Defawe, sr.; Eamon Greathouse, sr.; Michael Bannister, goalkeeper, so.; RJ Rossart, fr.; Finn Miller, so.
Outlook: The team looks strong after graduating just three players from last season. The Spartans went undefeated for the first time this century and also knocked off the Curtis Vikings, an always-powerful program that hadn’t lost to a team in Washington in five years. The team is exceptionally fast and will press hard on defense, leading to productive counter-attacks.
Schedule: Sept. 13, 7:50 p.m., Bellevue; Sept. 17, 7:40 p.m., Curtis; Sept. 18, 3:50 p.m., Stadium; Sept. 20, 8 p.m., at Mercer Island; Sept. 23, 7:30 p.m., Gig Harbor; Sept. 29, 4:30 p.m., at Bellevue; Oct. 1, 8:15 p.m., at Newport; Oct. 4, 7:50 p.m., Mercer Island; Oct. 7, 7:30 p.m., at Curtis; Oct. 12, 5:30 p.m., at Stadium; Oct. 15, 5:30 p.m., at Gig Harbor; Oct. 16-17, PSP Invitational at Curtis; Oct. 21-23, San Diego Invitational; Oct. 28, 7:30 p.m., Newport.
Boys Tennis
2021 record: 12-0
Head coach: Jennifer Shorr

Outlook: Bainbridge ran the table in the spring, going undefeated in the Olympic League. Nine seniors graduated from that team, but there is still a lot of depth remaining. At an individual level, McLennan was part of a doubles team that finished second in the Olympic League tournament last year and Rice placed second in the singles tournament.
Schedule: Sept. 8, 4 p.m., Sequim; Sept. 9, 4 p.m., North Kitsap; Sept. 14, 4 p.m., at Kingston; Sept. 16, 4 p.m., Port Angeles; Sept. 20, 4 p.m., Bremerton; Sept. 23, 4 p.m., Sept. 28, 4 p.m., at Sequim; Olympic; Sept. 30, 4 p.m., at North Kitsap; Oct. 1, 4 p.m., at Port Angeles; Oct. 4, 4 p.m., Kingston; Oct. 7, 4 p.m., at Bremerton; Oct. 14, 4 p.m., at Olympic.
