TACOMA — The Kingston Buccaneers missed out on a trip to State May 20 after losing 10-3 to the Sequim Wolves.
The game at Sprinker Fields during the West Central District III Tournament was the third round. If the Bucs had won, they would have played for fifth/sixth place in the tournament, and been guaranteed a trip to State.
The Wolves took fifth in the district tournament, defeating the Olympic Trojans 10-0.
The Wolves lost their first game of the season to Sumner May 18 during the second round of the district tournament, after defeating North Mason. The Wolves are scheduled to play Selah Friday, May 24, in the state tournament.
The Bucs defeated Foster 13-1, May 17. The Kingston team advanced to the second round of Districts, to play Fife. The Bucs lost 8-6 to Fife.
