Bainbridge
Coaches: Krista Pal
Key returners: Seniors Kathryn Houseman, Uma Pal and Emma Atchinson, and juniors Sara Kriegh, Piper Majors and Maya Geddes
Outlook: The girls’ swim team returned from state last season with bronze medals. Four of their top five swimmers return with a vengeance and much depth around them. The Spartan swimmers should be having another season where the team finishes on the podium at state.

Water Polo
Coach: Kristin Gellert
Key players: Seniors Micah Webber. Michael Bannister and Finn Miller and junior RJ Rossart
Outlook: The only county team with a girls water polo team, Gellert returns a senior-heavy squad after falling short of a back-to-back title. However, the Spartans should still be considered one of the best in the state with their high-powered offense and experienced goaltending.

North Kitsap
Coach: Greg Braun
Key returners: Senior Tiffany Le and sophomore Audrey Crossgrove
Outlook: North Kitsap finished eighth in the state last but lost most of its state swimmers. However, Braun has tons of depth and can develop his swimmers well. The Vikings may not place as high in state but they can be a tough team to face in the league and along the way.

Kingston

Key Returner: Senior Lilia Manges
Outlook: Kingston’s squad is typically smaller than its competitors. However, the Bucs are mighty, posting strong times and placing at state. Mages returns as the lone state swimmer and will lead the Bucs to a strong finish at state.

Olympic

Outlook: Olympic struggled to keep its swimmers afloat during the postseason. However, nearly the entire squad were underclassmen and can make more damage in the next few years.

Bremerton

Key returners: Junior Gabbie Patti
Outlook: The Knights did not have much success as a team. However, Patti was debatably the best swimmer in the county, capturing a gold and silver medal at state. She will look to repeat her success and hopefully bring another Knight with her to the state competition.

Central Kitsap
Coach: Whitney Dodd
Key returners: Juniors Haley Borja, Aziza Meyer and Ava Day
Outlook: After finishing seventh at state, three of four members of the Central Kitsap’s relay team return. In addition, a few younger swimmers will make a splash for the Cougars and keep them in contention for a top-10 finish at state.

South Kitsap
Coach: Nicole Miller
Key returners: Senior Nina Mertz
Outlook: Mertz returns as the lone state swimmer, placing ninth in the 100-yard butterfly. If the Wolves can find a few more swimmers that can compete at state, they can see themselves finish top-20 this season.

Klahowya
Coach: Danielle Harding-Hanson
Key returners: Senior Kaiya Pasternak and juniors Grace Corbin, Rory DeCourval and Addison Leaf
Outlook: Klahowya was carried by its senior duo last season, finishing 16th at state. The rest of the squad lacked experience and depth.
