KENT — Of the 33 boys teams and 27 girls teams that competed March 31 at the Kent-Meridian Invite, it was Kent and Auburn that outmatched the competition.
From the North Kitsap School District, the North Kitsap girls track team finished fourth overall. Kingston girls finished in 18th. North Kitsap boys finished 21st and Kingston boys finished 29th.
Top finishers for North Kitsap include Reagan Colyer, who finished first in the 300m hurdles with a time of 45.85 seconds and fourth in 100m hurdles (15.95). And the North Kitsap 4×100 relay team (Indigo Williams, Alexandra Lanzafame, Colyer, Kristin Brown) took third with a 51 second finishing time.
For the boys team, Edward Capell finished fourth in the 400 meters (51.03).
Top finisher for Kingston boys include Andrew Beversluis, finishing fourth in the pole vault (11-06).
On the girls team, Marina Roberts finished the 1,600 meters in second (5:12.71) — 0.30 hundredths of a second behind Central Kitsap’s Rose Christen. Her sister, Annie Roberts, finished fourth (5:36.64).
