Kingston girls stay unbeaten
The Kingston High girls tennis team finished the 2010 regular season undefeated after a 4-3 win over Klahowya Secondary School Monday. The girls will compete at the Olympic League 2A Division tournament Friday and Saturday at North Kitsap High. Play begins at 9 a.m. each day.

Kingston boys shut out Klahowya
The Kingston High boys soccer team shut out Klahowya Monday, 3-0, at home on senior night. Senior forward Edgar Hernandez scored twice for the Buccaneers, while freshman Nick Bolles had the team’s other goal. Kingston finished the regular season with a record of 13-1-2 overall and 10-1-1 in league play. The Bucs begin postseason play Saturday at Franklin Pierce Stadium in Tacoma against an opponent yet to be determined. Kickoff is at 5:15 p.m.

Three from North Kitsap advance to district tournament
Two boys and one girl from the North Kitsap High golf team scored high enough at the Olympic League golf tournament Monday to advance to the West Central District III tournament May 17 in Fort Lewis. Kenny Kimbel and David Gerstenberger placed seventh and eighth at the league tournament, shooting an 86 and a 90, respectively. Karin Muggli placed 10th among the girls, shooting a 127.
Tee time for the boys and girls district tournament is at 8 a.m. May 17 at Eagle Pride Golf Course in Fort Lewis.
