Kingston soccer undefeated going into game against North Kitsap | Sports updates

SOCCER

Kingston tops Olympic, 2-0

The Kingston High boys soccer team improved to 8-0 Wednesday with a 2-0 win at Olympic High School in Silverdale. Kingston forward Brian Bain scored both goals for the Buccaneers.

Kingston will host undefeated district rival North Kitsap (7-0) tonight. Kickoff is at 6:45 p.m.

BASEBALL

North Kitsap breezes by Bremerton

The North Kitsap High baseball team beat Bremerton High Wednesday, 6-1, to improve to 11-0 overall. Daniel Jewett got the win for the Vikings and went 2-for-2 at the plate. The Vikings will host Port Townsend at 4 p.m. Friday.

North Kitsap defeats Bremerton

The North Kitsap High fastpitch team defeated Bremerton High Wednesday, 11-7. Demiya Dybbro-Holt recorded the win for the Vikings. North Kitsap will play its next game at 4 p.m. Friday at home against Port Townsend High.

TENNIS

Kingston downs Sequim, 6-1

The Kingston High girls tennis team defeated Sequim High Wednesday, 6-1.

Singles: Kyla Hall (SQ) def. Corinne Sudduth (K) 6-0, 6-1. Stephanie Fyfe (K) def. Serena Okamoto (SQ) 6-3, 6-4. Anna Rushmer (K) def. Jessica DeFilippo (SQ) 6-1, 6-4.

Doubles: Olivia Guevara/Maddi Miller (K) def. Katrina Chan/Stacy Hanson (SQ) 6-4, 7-5. Lindsey Wicklein/Ericka Daniels (K) def. Hillary Smith/Ellen Cain (SQ) 6-1, 6-2. Andrea Fladgard/Charlotte Kilborn (K) def. Hanah Smith/Alice Hastings (SQ) 6-0, 6-1. Marilyn Fick/Kristi Mellum (K) def. Elizabeth Shore/Sarah Marble (SQ) 6-0, 6-4.

Kingston boys defeat Sequim

The Kingston High boys golf team defeated Sequim High Wednesday, 89-86. Sequim’s Ryan O’Mera took medalist honors, shooting an 84 on the par-72 White Horse Golf Course in Kingston.

Kingston girls fall to Sequim

The Kingston High girls golf team fell to Sequim High Wednesday, 90-79. Sequim’s Zoe Zbaraschuk earned medalist honors, shooting a 42 on the par-36, nine-hole White Horse Golf Course.

The Kingston boys and girls golf teams will play their next match at 3 p.m. April 20 against Klahowya Secondary School in Silverdale.
